Membership

Membership is about more than attending church meetings. The Church is the body of Christ with a divinely called ministry. Its purpose is to reach the world, teach them to grow in the likeness of Christ, involve them in their culture, and encourage them to worship God. Romans 12 speaks of the Church, as the body of Christ, having many members all with their own unique function. It is not until all of the members come together that the complete body is formed. You are a part of that body and are welcomed to join us here at Evangel Temple.

As a member, you will be committing to a higher degree of responsibility and involvement. You will become part of a family that provides support, encouragement and guidance to all its members.

Membership is open to all who give evidence of faith in Jesus, voluntarily subscribe to the Statement of Faith and agree to be governed by the Church Constitution and Bylaws. The voting membership consists of those 16 years and older who attend regularly and support the church through tithes and offerings.

All new Members are asked to go through the following steps to become a member at Evangel Temple:

• Attend the New Members Class
• Be Baptized in Water
• Complete and sign the Membership Covenant
