Veterans

Evangel Temple appreciates the service and sacrifice of our veterans and their families.  The Veterans Ministry of this church welcomes the opportunity to reach out to military veterans who worship at Evangel Temple, to provide an avenue for spiritual well being, prayer and fellowship with other veterans and their families.  We hope to serve as a resource of information on veterans issues and to evangelize within the community bringing God’s message to veterans who do not otherwise have a place of worship.

Veterans Seminar Breakfast

When: August 14, 2010

Where: Evangel Temple Assembly of God Church Family Life Center

Time: 8:30AM  Breakfast, 9:00AM  Presentation and Q&A Period

Purpose: Information about Veterans Benefits and specifically for Vietnam Veterans who were exposed to Agent Orange.  Learn about new medical conditions added to the disability listing.

Guest Speaker: Rafel Santiago, SFC, USA Retired Veterans Service Officer City of Jacksonville

All veterans and widows of veterans are encouraged to attend.

Veterans Trip to Washington, DC

When: Sept 30-Oct 5, 2010   (6 days 5 nights)

Where: Washington DC  to visit our National Monuments and Memorials.

Cost: $354.00 per person, double occupancy.  Bus costs not included, the shared costs will be determined by number of people going on the trip.

Itinerary: Guided tour of Washington D.C. war memorials, monuments, US Capital, Embassy Row, the White House, Arlington Cemetery and much more.

We are limited on the number of seats based on the capacity of the bus .  54 seats.

Veterans and their wives are encouraged to sign up for this historical trip to our Nation’s capital.
